Job Description:

Humber Maritime College is part of the TEC Partnership, a group of dynamic and innovative further and higher education colleges and training providers. Humber Maritime College is located at the MODAL Training Centre, which has its base near to the River Humber in North East Lincolnshire.

We deliver maritime classroom, simulator and blended learning training as well as Merchant Navy Training Board deck and engineering cadet programmes.

We are now looking for a suitably experienced maritime professional to manage and teach on our nautical science courses. The post holder will prepare and teach on a range of long and short courses including HNC/D in Nautical Science, Level 3 Diplomas and professional courses in Navigation and other STCW courses.

The successful candidate will have relevant sector experience; hold a Master (unlimited) certificate of competency and a HND or Foundation Degree or BSc in Nautical Studies / Science.

You should be self-motivated, have good interpersonal skills and a flexible approach to work.

Previous teaching or training experience would be an advantage, however, if you have a real interest in teaching and training and have the experience and qualities we are looking for then you will be supported with coaching, training and the opportunity to study for a further education teaching qualification
